It's all about being organized. Or, at least, it's mostly about being organized. Set 5 minutes at the beginning of each day and 5 minutes at the end of the day to look at this. I do this when I'm procrastinating starting work :) Gotta go and do work now :)
ReplyDeleteUmmm - why are you asleep and weak? Are you sick? What have you been eating? Have you been sleeping okay? Getting outside much? I know, I know - but I'm a huge believer in fresh air and good foods for energy. I've seen it in myself countless times. When I'm cooped up all day and eat sugary stuff, I am lethargic and completely unmotivated. It feels good for that split second or even longer to eat that candy or drink that sugary coffee and sit and play some video on my computer, but I then feel like molasses. If I force myself to get off my ass, eat some veggies and drink some water instead and go take a walk - even if it's just around the block, I feel so much more energized.
ReplyDeleteok -- i officially hate blogger now.
ReplyDeletei just wrote a long long reply, hit publish, and nothing -- it is gone.
i haven't changed my food or air, but i wake up after sleeping for 15hrs and i can't keep my eyelids open. that's not normal.
ReplyDelete1 - sorry about your lost post - that sucks!!!!!
ReplyDelete2 - hmmm - still tired after 15 hours of sleeping - not good. I have no answers, but here's what i would try. Try sleeping less (set alarm for 9 hours after you sleep). Sometimes if I sleep too much, I'm tired. If that doesn't work, try to be more physically active. When I get sleepy when I'm working, I make myself get up and do 25 jumping jacks (preferably outside). If they don't wake me up, I at least got a bit more physical activity in that day, which can't be a bad thing. You could also try to take a brisk 15 minute walk outside. It seems counterproductive to take a walk when you have things to do, but when I'm sleepy I can't get anything done anyway, so, at best, you may wake yourself up to be more productive moving forward. At worst, again, you gave yourself a little exercise that you would not have otherwise had. Both good results. Give it a try, it can't hurt.
all good ideas, but all assume this is a general sluggishness. even after 15 hours, i could not keep my eyelids open. here's the thing -- i usually have a hard time falling asleep, even when i'm tired. so, for me, this thing isn't something that a regular "home" remedy could help.
Deletetoday is the first day i'm feeling like myself. so, I'm back.
and i'm inviting Robin to this blog.
